About Houston criminal defense lawyer Emma Quintero
Emma Quintero, a criminal defense lawyer with Madrid Law, PLLC, was born and raised in San Antonio, TX. She’s a proud graduate of The University of Texas School of Law. Her focus and interest has always been in the criminal justice system.
Emma graduated Summa Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University with a degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science from Sam Houston State University.
Emma began her criminal justice career working with the Travis County Juvenile Public Defender’s Office. She also worked with the Criminal Defense Clinic, where she was counsel for low-income individuals charged with Misdemeanors.
Emma gained valuable experience working in the back-end of the criminal justice system where she believes the necessity for representation does not always end immediately after an individual is found guilty. To this end Emma worked with the Actual Innocence Clinic and the Texas Department of Criminal Justice State Counsel for Offenders.
Following graduation, she began her work in Harris County by receiving a fellowship to work for the Harris County Public Defender’s Office. Emma provided important assistance in both the Felony Trial and Appellate divisions. She is dedicated and believes it is a privilege to use the law and the Constitution to counsel, represent, and protect the rights of the accused.
