Police Seeking Aggravated Robbery Suspect In Video

Houston are police are seeking a suspect in an Aggravated Robbery that  occurred on November 17 at a Family Dollar Store. This story gives more detail and includes a video of the man entering the store with what appears to be a firearm.

The video is fairly clear. The story indicates that Crime Stoppers is offering a $5,000 for information that leads to the filing of felony charges against or the arrest of the suspect. I would not be surprised if someone takes up Crime Stoppers on the offer during this Christmas season.

The story is interesting in that in today’s society there increasingly more security video cameras, not only in businesses but residence as well. There are apps that allow users to access security cameras on their cell phone.

Walking into a store with a gun is dangerous and simply not a very smart way to make money. There is a lot of truth to the saying crime doesn’t pay. The suspect in this story will likely get caught and the State will have strong evidence with the video. I doubt he made out with much money. If caught he will be facing a minimum of 5 years and up to 99 years or life as Aggravated Robbery is a First Degree Felony.
